World Aids Day (1 Decmember)
UK - Welcome to World AIDS Day - the international day of action on HIV and AIDS which takes place every year on 1 December.
This year in the UK, World AIDS Day is about reminding us all that HIV is an issue for everyone.

US - This year’s theme is “Women, Girls, HIV and AIDS,” which reflects a focus on how the effects of HIV/AIDS have significantly increased among women. Women now make up half of all people living with HIV worldwide, and 57 percent of these women live in sub-Saharan Africa. In that region, women are infected at an earlier age than men, and the ratio of new infections among women compared to men is even higher within the 15–24 age group. Poverty, instability, violence, lack of access to adequate health care, and ignorance all contribute to the problem.

I think health responsibility is something worth taking personal charge of.
Whether the person is adminstrating needle injections or if the person is sexually active or the expectant mother etc..
To date, I've not come across any Aids patients. But like any other disease, it should be unbearable for the person to be living. As far as I know, the cost of the medication to keep the disease easier to bear for the person - is easily a couple of hundreds dollars in SG , per month. That's because we are considered a developed country. Places that are still developing, receive the medication for a faction of the price.
The costliness of the medication aside, I can not fathom how easily could a person of his and her free will, get infected. I could only say 'Poor thing .. '
But as I said :: Take charge of your life to stay out of this deadly disease.
To what extent and suffering does the HIV patients experience, I won't have an answer nor any close to it.
I guessthe public discrimination stem from infected people freely contacting or the passing on of HIV, is the reason why more and more people are infected.
It could be that some of the infected people are not seeking out the control options e.g. to take medication to control the disease. Or they isolate themselves and pretend that nothing have happened.
On the whole, like any disease before AIDS (or HIV), leprosy, chicken pox, small pox, bird flu etc , vaccines have been rolled out.
I believe in the on going efforts at various research centres to come out with a solution to prevent the onset of AIDS and I hope that they can come out with a vaccine for HIV eventually.
Kudos to the on-going research !

Yo Ho ! Exams are over
After some weeks of going through the exam syllbus and studying for the exams , I was expecting that I suffer a burnout or something.
Seems this time I didn't have the motivation to go for my exams , I didn't get the real readings till 2 weeks before the 1st exam.
Funny that I'd worked out the exam schedules for 6 weeks ahead, and didn't stick to it. I think the reason why I didn't was the tasks to complete my assignments and the hand in dates was within the 1st 2 weeks of my projected study time. It was continued by the classes and preparing mock exam questions and going over our assignments (How better to improve on it).
Didn't really sleep well nor eat well over that 2 weeks of stress. There's the whole 3 thick text books to cram information in & most instances in answering the exam paper, I need to illustrate the theory along with the examples. Alas, I didn't managed to store info 100% I think that info storing for the exams are rather damaging to health in terms of sleep and alertness.
I think I do envy people who can breeze through any examinations with seemingly little expending of efforts and without stress.
The results of the examinations should be rather disappointing, there are several items where I could have scored better - in terms of illustrations linking with the theories. But there isn't enough time to list each and every illustrations with all the theories that I'd wrote.
So , I expected a mid score e.g. 3 'C's grade instead of aiming for 'A's grade initially.
Ironic. But kind of expected it , since I put in relative equal effort for 'C' grades.
